The way the economy works now is fine (but needs a trade house)
Free enterprise, we don't want a Soviet like market

the most expensive mod is only about 35K +15/-1e for offhands I think... everything else stops at about 12K if you find a good buyer.
They really arent that market dominating to care about.. they dont even stack, so its not as if they will ever be used for serious high end trades.

The economy has already dropped around greens/certain gold skins/ectos/ shards/onyx/DoA gems. The list goes on and on and on. You want to make price on inscriptions lower. How bout you go out and farm like the rest of us and stop the QQ about a mear 5k for an inscription. God go farm go do something and stop the QQ /notsigned(if you didn't get that from my post)

But I be up for a "max" mod trader that that set up similar to the Dye / Rune / Material traders aka where supply and demand affect the price.

No. Weapon mods do only need a trader, and everything else just a Xunlai Market.
Just like runes, dyes and materials, adding an NPC to directly sell them for fixed prices would be a mistake.
And for the Gold weapons, you already may get those, by finishing the dungeons.

its fair that the richest players get the rarest weapons.
The thing that need to be controlled is how they make the money.
Start farming mate.

Most weapon mods have too many different versions (ie, number possibilities) to make a Trader at all likely.

lets see.. a little over a year ago a +30hp sword mod would sell for 20-25k. i bought one yesterday for 5k. The market is already crashed, i dont think it needs to be screwed with any more by adding that sort of npc

Free market, free economy is far better. Only good improvements would be NPC trader for mods using supply-demand mechanics just like the Rune trader or others. And thatXunlai Marketplace we can keep dreaming of.

Yeah, a trader npc is what im talking about, similiar to dyes and materials. Thos prices are controlled, they are given a set price and the values go up or down depending wether or not people buy or sell them to the trader so they are controlled.
I get plenty of golds and mods but they are so random I never really get what I want. Trying to find an in game seller of a specific item is more of a nuiance than anything, then when you find somone wanting 20k or more for the mod or 50-100k for a wep skin you want thats just crazy.
There are not too many mods or weps to have a trader for, thats just silly, its very possible.
20K is way to much to pay for any mod.

They aren't controlled at all, market demand affects prices. If a weapon mods trader was implemented, you'd find prices being the same.

Stop complaining about the weapons of the moment being overpriced. That's the way the market is.

If traders is what you are talking about, there are already other threads mad, and even discussion in the Inner Circle.
Most people agree with:
- Traders: Yes
- Stackable upgrades: No.

Most weapons that used to be worth anything are worth crap these days (look at ele swords, torment weapons etc) The only money I make anymore is selling max mods. I wouldn't mind a trader, like a rune trader or whatever, but NO to having a merchant that just sells em.

Says who? You know what free enterprise has got us so far? The average gold perfect trades for 20k, barring really high-ends like crystalline's. Armbraces are worth next to nothing. The community has proven they cannot be trusted with the weapons market.
The devs need to step in, because, enough is enough, nothing is prestigious anymore.

They did once, they maxed the amount of gold you could have on one toon, but some greeady players figured out a way around it.
People are complaining about how "bot's and RMT" is ruining the economy in GW when the truth is that the POWER TRADER is the real threath to the economy.

So, in your opinion, the only way to keep the economy stable is taxing players? Maybe like taking away 4% of all money on your account or something every month, and putting it back into circulation?
Wow, that actually sounds like a decent idea to me.
